Lou Schreiber has taught over 50,000 people to dance. Even after more than 50 years of teaching he never thinks about retirement.
Not only is he teaching 3 nights with 12 classes a week, gives private lessons to some long-time students in his own studio, he can also be found on almost every dance floor in and around Los Angeles!
Lou, the big "Tigger and Pooh-Fan" has something from both of these characters. Sometimes he is all "Tigger", sometimes the gentle "Pooh" comes through.

Lou is definitely one of the most experienced dance instructors. His very special way of teaching by explaining patiently every single step and move to Beginners, slowly demanding more from Intermediates and a lot more from his Advanced Students (not to mention the level he teaches his private students) has gained him a long-term clientele. Some of his students attend his classes for years. They either stay on or keep coming back - simply because Lou knows how to make dancing fun.
For many students Lou's classes are the "highlight of the week", and the groups are very close. Dancing is exercise and can be a real "workout". There is no better way to work out while you're having fun dancing! |

Lou won First Place in the National Dance Teacher's competition and has 8 years of experience with Arthur Murray Studio's before he opened his own dance school. Lou's last title at Arthur Murray was as Master Trainer of Dance Instructors. In his "other life" Lou was a Professor of Psychology and Business Management at L.A. Harbor College for several years but even during this time he continued to share his true love of teaching ballroom dance.
Lou is a "Legend" and well-respected by his students! Lou was featured in Peninsula People. To read the full article click here |
